BenzoTaper's 80/20 Smart-Taper is a patient-driven medication tracking tool based on widely available public tapering information. It does not provide medical, pharmaceutical, diagnostic or similar information. It is not a substitute for care from a doctor, pharmacist, or other qualified healthcare professional. Always talk to your prescriber before starting, changing, or stopping any medication, such as beginning a taper. Any Diazepam amount it shows for another medication is an estimate only based on public information and must be confirmed with a healthcare professional. If during a taper you experience severe or worsening withdrawal symptoms, seizure-like symptoms, or thoughts of self-harm, contact a medical professional right away or emergency medical services.

1. Who we are

BenzoTaper is sold by BenzoTaper, Toronto, Ontario, Canada ("BenzoTaper", "we" or "us"). You can reach us at support@benzotaper.com. By buying or using BenzoTaper, you agree to these terms.

2. What BenzoTaper is

BenzoTaper's 80/20 Smart-Taper ("BenzoTaper") is a patient-driven medication tracking tool. It is a single file that runs in your web browser. It helps you keep track of a Diazepam taper that you plan with your prescriber. It comes with an illustrated PDF user guide.

3. Not medical advice

BenzoTaper does not give medical, pharmaceutical or diagnostic advice. It does not recommend doses and it does not prescribe. It is not a substitute for care from a doctor, pharmacist or other qualified healthcare professional. Always talk to your prescriber before starting, changing or stopping any medication.

Any Diazepam amount BenzoTaper shows for another medication is an estimate only, based on public information. It must be confirmed by a healthcare professional.

4. Your responsibility

You are responsible for the information you enter and for checking your schedule, doses and prescription requests with your prescriber before you rely on them. You decide your plan with your prescriber.

5. Licence

When you buy BenzoTaper, you get a personal, non-transferable licence for one person (you) to use the BenzoTaper file and the user guide on any number of your own devices, such as your computer, phone and tablet.

• You may make copies for your own use and for backup, and print your schedules and prescription requests for your prescriber.
• You may not share, give away, sell, rent or publish the BenzoTaper file or the user guide, or let other people use your copy. Each person needs their own copy.
• You may not resell BenzoTaper, or copy, change or reuse it to make another product.

The progress files you save are yours. BenzoTaper and everything in it, including the user guide, remain the property of BenzoTaper. Any rights not given in these terms are kept by BenzoTaper.

6. Purchases

Payments are processed by Stripe. Where Stripe acts as the merchant of record for your order, Stripe is the seller of record for the payment, and its name appears at checkout and on your receipt. BenzoTaper still provides the product and its support. Stripe's own terms also apply to your purchase.

BenzoTaper is a digital download. When you tick the box to accept these terms and pay, you ask us to make your download available right away. You also agree that, once it is available, you lose any right to cancel your purchase, including the 14-day right to cancel that buyers in the EU and UK normally have.

7. No warranty and limits of liability

BenzoTaper is provided "as is". We work hard to make its calculations correct, but we do not promise that it is free of errors, that it will work on every device or browser, or that it suits your situation.

To the fullest extent the law allows, BenzoTaper is not responsible for any loss or harm that comes from using, or not being able to use, the tracker, the user guide or this website, including decisions about medication. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for BenzoTaper.

Nothing in these terms takes away or limits any right you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be taken away or limited, including Ontario's consumer protection law and the consumer laws where you live.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live. Any dispute may be brought in the courts of Ontario, or in the courts where you live if your local law gives you that right.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. The terms in force when you bought BenzoTaper apply to that purchase.
